Leadership & Board Training

 Build Capability That Can Be Used at Work

Most experienced leaders do not need another room full of theory.

They need useful ideas connected to real responsibilities and enough opportunity to think, discuss, practise and apply them.

Chamberlain 360 Training is used when a board, management group or leadership team has a genuine capability gap. The objective is practical improvement that can transfer back into the workplace.

Training may be appropriate when a group needs to become better at:

  • leadership wisdom and decision-making;
  • accountability and follow-through;
  • difficult conversations;
  • creating clarity around expectations;
  • trust and leadership communication;
  • effective meetings;
  • board and management roles;
  • governance foundations;
  • director or officer development;
  • strategy oversight;
  • or another clearly identified leadership capability.

Leadership When It’s Needed

A current Chamberlain 360 training experience is Leadership When It’s Needed: Trust, Wisdom & Courageous Conversations.

It is a practical half-day or full-day experience that helps managers build trust, exercise sound judgment, address difficult issues and take responsible action. Participants work through realistic leadership situations, practise difficult conversations and leave with a practical action plan they can use.

How C360 Training works

A C360 session is designed around the buyer's real need rather than around a catalogue of predetermined activities.

A typical experience may combine:

Understand
A clear framework and practical language.

Discuss
Experienced leaders examine how the issue shows up in real organizational life.

Apply
Participants work through realistic leadership situations where the answer is not always obvious.

Practise
Where appropriate, participants rehearse conversations, decisions or leadership responses.

Act
People identify a credible next action or working practice to take back into their role.

The standard

If participants could receive essentially the same value by simply listening to me speak for longer, the experience is not yet strong enough to be called training.

That distinction matters.

Speaking creates perspective. Training builds capability.

What a buyer should expect

The aim is that participants:

  • understand the issue more clearly;
  • have practical language and tools they can use;
  • have worked with realistic situations;
  • have had an opportunity to practise where appropriate;
  • and leave knowing what they need to do differently.

If there is something your leaders know they need to become better at together, tell me what you are seeing. We can determine whether training is the right response.

Tell me what is happening. We can determine the right next conversation from there.
